The brainchild of Thailand-born designer Thakoon Panichgul, Thakoon Addition is an outlet for the designer to playfully experiment with new trends and reinvent old favorites.  All of the line?s pieces carry the same modern aesthetic as the higher-priced Thakoon, but have a more youthful, casual flair.

The balmy days of late summer are accompanied by a hushed excitement for the fast-approaching global fashion weeks of September.  International fashion isn?t just confined to September, however; Mumbai?s Fashion Week is already in full swing.

Mumbai?s Lakm? Fashion Week began on Friday, August 3 and culminates on Tuesday, August 7. Backed by Indian cosmetics magnate Lakm?, early reports from the tents are abuzz with praise for designers? key use of gothic elements and refreshing ?70s-inspired collections.  Fern Mallis?the force behind New York Fashion Week?told the Huffington Post that Lakm? Fashion Week?s greatest strength ?is discovering new talent and trying to give [designers] that platform,? and added that the event is a natural extension of India?s ?extraordinary place in culture right now.?  If you can?t be there, livestream the action as it happens from the LFW Web site.
