How would you describe your own personal style?

My style is what I like to think of as ?monochromatic boho?. I love black on black, and it?s often my go-to staple, especially this time of year. I tend toward oversized shirts with flowing, body- skimming lines that layer beautifully over a more fitted cut underneath. Add a bold accessory for a pop of color for easy instant, easy chic! An entire outfit of winter white is equally chic and flattering.

What is one of your most memorable staycations or vacations?

One of my favorite early memories is staying at the St. Vincent?s private resort with my parents. My mom wore a bikini and I thought she was the most glamorous, amazing woman I?d ever seen! That image, and the feeling it still conjures, is one of the reason?s I gravitate toward designing resort wear.

What are the three things besides your passport you never leave home without?

My travel essentials are La Mer for my skin (I love the Rejuvenating Serum and the Cr?me de la Mer), my jewelry with the Evil Eye symbol and our newest Evil Eye Hanky scarf (the cashmere blend is a travel must-have!). And of course, I pack my stuffed bunny that I?ve had since I was a child- he?s my one bit of home that I take with me everywhere.

What are your globetrotter tips for living like a ?local? in Mumbai and/or NY?

Living like a local in NYC to me means finding spots that you end up frequenting with friends because the food, atmosphere and drinks all seem to gel. I love Black Market in the East Village for happy hour because if you time it right, the drinks (which are practically works of art!) are buy one, get one free. It?s cozy and unpretentious. Fat Radish has one of my favorite brunches, and the interior is so lovely; it?s like a little bit of London right in NYC. And of course, ABC Kitchen is like a feast for the senses: inside, it?s a bit of design heaven, and the farm-to-table menu exceeds my expectations every time!
