Rebozos are not only considered the quintessential traditional garment worn by Mexican woman of all social classes but they represent the meeting and exchange of traditions epitomizing the rich textural complexity of Mexicos cultural past and present. This rebozo was woven on a colonial loom by the artisans of Tenancingo. The rebozos of Tenancingo are characterized by their complex ikat dyed patterns that are so rich and beautiful that the use of these pieces can be extended to table runners, throws or bed runners.
