New York City: Queen of the Night

What: Finally, 75 years after its original opening and a $20 million dollar renovation, the legendary and historic Diamond Horseshoe club will re-open its doors to the public for the ?Queen of the Night? New Year?s Eve party. Run by the mastermind behind ?Sleep No More? Randy Weiner, this unprecedented event will captivate the crowd with compelling theatrics that will take you back to the 1920?s. Some of the most sought after names in entertainment are part of this vintage chic happening -- Giovanna Battaglia for the creative vision, fashion designer Thom Browne for the costumes, and Jennifer Rubell for a curated food experience. Tickets start at $300.

What: The same promoters of the well-received Roaring Twenties New Year?s party at Armani/Priv? last year, The Edge, are going even bigger and glitzier this year with Champagne Resolutions at Duddell?s. With a double-themed space, a terrace and a lounge, open bar, live music, burlesque dancers (and of course, no party is a party without a photo booth), this exclusive private venue will host the best high-end all nighter. Rio De Janeiro: R?veillon
Where: Copacabana Beach
WhatWatch fireworks in the sand with two million other revelers on Copacabana Beach -- this is one of the biggest New Year?s Eve parties in the world and Rio?s second biggest annual party after Carnival. With music ranging from samba to rock, this four-kilometer-long stretch of shoreline on Brazil?s eastern edge is flooded with globetrotters from all corners of the world. Last year at midnight, twenty-four tons of fireworks were sent into the sky from eleven different boats. Make sure to wear white and jump over seven waves ? it?s a good-luck tradition.
