It was a masterpiece! But we weren't sure if we should eat it, or frame it and hang it up on the wall. This masterpiece in question being the lamb-and-beet borani with salted yogurt and lamb sauce that we dug into at Neolokal. Chef Maksut Askar uses only local produce and aims to serve up delicious dishes that have been passed down through generations -- while also giving thanks to Mother Nature for the fruits of her labor. Each dish is carefully constructed down to the finest detail. Just like a real masterpiece should be.
