Trekking through Nepal and touring Italy?s cathedrals are surely great ways to spend a vacation. For those craving a less exhausting and more mind numbing adventure, few places on earth can beat a beach paradise. From exotic Southeast Asian islands to the New York coastline, we are sharing some our favorite sandy shores.

Gili Trawangan, Lombok, Indonesia
A tiny island off the coast of Lombok (and a quick boat ride from Bali), Gili Trawangan is renowned for its phenomenal scuba diving, breathtaking beaches, and friendly ambiance. No cars or motorbikes are on this never-never land (a rarity for Asia); and you?ll likely find yourself leaving your shoes at your bungalow. The single dirt road sprinkled with restaurants, bars, dive shops, convenient stores, and clothing stores calls for bicycles, bare feet, and casual strolling. It is an island where making new friends is effortless and leaving is difficult. You?ll fit right in with this Bungalow 8, Aamiya tribal clutch and this Haremelique, Blue Wave Pareo. For diving, check out Gili Scuba to spot rare sea turtles and dine on fresh seafood at Scallywags Organic Seafood Bar & Grill.
Fire Island, New York, USA
Just 50 miles east of Manhattan lies a 32-mile long barrier oasis. Escape NYC on a 40-minute ferry and you?ve arrived. Like Gili Trawangan, you won?t find cars here over the summer months. This strip of white sand dune beaches is home to many white-tailed deer, and though the ocean water is colder than an exotic island, the festive atmosphere cures the chill. Feast at Le Dock in Fair Harbor or grab a drink on the bay at Maguire?s in Ocean Beach. While Ocean Beach tends to cater to the partiers with its many clubs and bars, just a few minutes outside this rowdy haven is beach serenity. This Figue, Cassandra Dress will have you turning heads and this Miss Mochila, Tan Multi Cartagena Mochila Bag is a must-have.
See and Be Seen- Gordon Beach, Tel Aviv, Israel
Gordan Beach specializes in tan skin, delightful cafes, beautiful bodies, and a jubilant spirit. Pop on this Daniela Bustos Maya, Teal Crochet Bikini for a beach-chic look, and try this Muzungu Sisters, Light Green Bali Sarong. Grab a pair of paddles and start a game of Matkot (beach tennis) or wade in the shallow, warm water. The casual party-vibe is comfortable with DJ?s spinning on their decks lining the beach. You?re likely to fall in love with this bliss (and possibly fall in love with its people).
Luxe Living- Mnemba Island, Tanzania, Africa
A private island in the warm, beautiful Indian Ocean, Mnemba Island is just about as secluded as it gets. The entire island is made up of just 10 cottages; each individually hidden in the shadows of a tropical beach forest while boasting stunning verandas. Best of all, dinners at night are set up for you alone ? dine on lobster and fresh fish at a single private table in the sand just for you. This Haremlique, Sardes Caftan is sophistication at its finest, paired with these India Hicks, The Maasai Collection, Orange Maasai Flip Flops is the ultimate lux look.
Surf the Waves- Florian?polis, Brazil
To a surfer, Florian?polis?s waves are a dream. This surf town is wild in its ways ? surf by day, party by night. Surf videos play nonstop at the cafes and bars while the surf crowd drinks the afternoon away discussing the rides of their lives earlier in the day. At night, head to Confraria Club, a local hot spot filled with beautiful people, live music, and a fun vibe. Throw on this Banjanan, Blue Iris Sofia Maxi Dress, for lounging inside or out, and this Dezso By Sara Beltran, Flamingo Fluorescent Palm Pouch.
