  • Behind the Label: Honorine Jewels

Fanny Boucher is a French designer with a subcontinental soul. Boucher has lived in her adopted hometown of Jaipur, Rajasthan’s famed Pink City, since 2005. She launched Honorine in 2008. Her line references classic European design and the intensity of the colors and culture that could only come from her current location. The result is delicate and bold, modern and ancient. Boucher, who trained with local goldsmiths and sources gemstones from Jaipur’s Johari Bazaar, aims to “reflect the wonderful rainbow” she sees in the garb of the local women and the chaotic cityscapes of everyday India.
